Socorro Empowered People’s Cooperative (SOEMCO) successfully conducted a 1.5-day Strengthening Partners on Development through Empowerment and Reflections (SPIDER) and Organizational Capacity Assessment (OCA) on July 18–19, 2025, at the SOEMCO Function Hall in Socorro, Surigao del Norte, Philippines.
The activity was facilitated by representatives from the AgriCOOPh Federation and the Belgium-based NGO Trias Southeast Asia, bringing together SOEMCO officers, management, members, and Children and Youth Laboratory Cooperative officers. The sessions focused on deepening understanding of cooperative principles, strengthening leadership and governance, and assessing organizational systems and capacities.
The SPIDER and OCA activities provided a meaningful venue for reflection, learning, and empowerment, enabling participants to identify strengths, areas for improvement, and strategic directions for sustainable growth. The assessment also reinforced collaboration among stakeholders and partners in development.
